MONASTERY OF SAINT CATHERINE AND DAHAB

We organize an excursion to the monastery of St. Catherine and Dahab from Sharm El Sheikh on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Departure from hotels starts at 06:00, return back to 16:30.

• At the foot of Mount Sinai (mountain of Moses) lies the ancient majestic monastery of St. Catherine. This is a male Orthodox monastery, founded in the VI century, during the reign of Emperor Justinian I, and operating to this day. According to legend, it was here that the Lord spoke to Moses from a burning bush, and thousands of people come here from all over the world to see this holy place for believers with their own eyes. We invite you to touch one of the stories of the Old Testament by visiting an excursion to the monastery of St. Catherine.

Tour program:

• Early in the morning the transfer will pick you up from the hotel and you will go to the monastery of St. Catherine;
• First of all, you will visit the service, you will see ancient icons and frescoes;
• After that, you will be able to see one of the main shrines of the monastery - the burning Bush, as well as the well of Moses, the Basilica of the Transfiguration and the old refectory;
• You will also have the opportunity to visit the chapels, the crypt and the ancient cemetery;
• Next, you will go to Dahab, where you will have a delicious hearty lunch, after which you will visit the famous market;
• After visiting the market, departure back to Sharm El Sheikh.

The cost of the tour already includes:

• Transfer that will pick you up from the hotel and bring you back after the tour;
• Entrance tickets to the monastery;

• Visit to the Museum of Icons;

• PLEASE NOTE that you are preparing to visit a Holy Place, so your clothing must be appropriate! Short shorts and skirts, as well as too open T-shirts that do not cover the shoulders are not allowed!;
